Meet Dr. Emilee Q. Pilkington
Dr. Emilee Q. Pilkington pursued dentistry through her family's encouragement to use her God-given talents and abilities to help others. Dentistry allowed her to combine science, health, artistry, and relationships to make smiles brighter and more comfortable and to improve a person's quality of life. Whether that involves relieving a patient's pain, preventing the progression of cavities or periodontal disease, or completely restoring someone's smile, she loves caring for smiles in her hometown and serving the community where she grew up.
Dr. Pilkington has a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in chemistry from East Carolina University. She then graduated from the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry. She has achieved numerous awards and accomplishments:
- Completed the Dawson Academy Curriculum and was recognized as a Dawson Academy Scholar (2025)
- Member of all-female Articuladies Study Club
- Graduate of Dental Sleep Medicine Mini Residency at UNC (2017)
- Graduated in top 5 percent of dental school class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society
